According to the general director of Dubai Expo 2020 Bureau Reem Al Hashimy, the infrastructure for Dubai Expo 2020 site is about to start during this year’s summer.
The final planning of the site will be ready about a year earlier of the Expo’s opening ceremony, which is going to take place on October 20, 2020.
Other structures from other participating countries will have the opportunity to re ready on time since they will have about 4 months until the great opening, as Mrs Al Hashimy stated.
More than 180 nations will be hosted in Expo 2020, including Africa, Asia, Europe, Australasia and the Americas.
Expo 2020 will be in Jebel Ali area and it will be a 438-hectare project part of the new city, with its own infrastructure, facilities and services.
Moreover, it is important to mention that Expo 2020 will feature an Expo village, in order for the personnel to stay-in. There will be access to the airport and a dedicated transportation.
Furthermore, a private area will be included, which is about to be the key factor to the whole project, according to Mrs Al Hashimy.
Some of its newly premier partnerships are Emirates Airline, Etisalat and DP World, which concern hundreds' of million agreements.
As stated by Mrs Al Hashimy, opportunities will be given also to small and medium businesses.
Last but not least, Expo 2020 Dubai will start a collaboration with the economy ministry to have the ability to assist financially SMEs.
