2016 seems that is an important year for the tech giant Samsung!
The company decided to transform from a hardware company to a software company. The big competition with Apple and also with other manufacturers such as Huawei and Xiaomi which provide cheap Android phones forced Samsung to make such a move.
First of all, Samsung is starting to make the most of its applications such as Gear Fit and others compatible to iPhones. This is not the first move of the company to try its applications in iOS. Earlier this month Samsung announced iOS support for the Gear S2 smartwatch which will launch later this year.
In addition according to the report of SamMobile, the company soon will make also Galaxy View compatible to the iPhone. For this reason, it’s manufacturing a controller which will allow different users to stream content to the movable display.
The truth is that Samsung understand how important is the compatibility to iOS and tries to make quickly this change as the company is preparing for its biggest plan for its IoT platform. This change to Samsung’s business model started on Monday when the company announced the replacement of its president of mobile communications Shin Jong-Kyun with Koh Dong-Jin, who was part of the Galaxy S6 and Note 5 business.
However, some analysts believe that this decision is not so wise because they think Samsung has a strong position in the market of hardware. In their opinion the losers are Sony and HTC especially in the Android space.
