Dubai is famous for its innovations. Another one was added in the list before some days! The first 3D printed office was built in the city!
The Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed revealed this big project on Twitter. It was presented for first time in in DIFC. The 3D printed office is located in the gardens of Emirates Towers and it will be a temporary office for Dubai Future Foundation, the organization that works with government for bringing smart technologies in the emirate.
For example some of the Dubai Future Foundation’s projects are the self-driving vehicles and World Future Games of 2017. The 3d printed office was made by a printer and a robotic arm 20 feet high, 120 feet long and 40 feet wide. One worker was monitoring the printer and other 17 were installing components of the building. 3D printing is reducing the hours of manual work and the costs and is a quick method.
The office was printed in 17 days and the installation took 2 days. The 3D printed office is fully equipped. It has electricity, water, telecommunications and air conditioning. Dubai presented the first 3D printed office in the world only some weeks after of launching Dubai 3D printing strategy. Sheikh Mohammed said: "This is an experience we present to the world on implementing future technology in our lives, and it represents a new milestone for the UAE as a global leader in strategic achievements".
