Soon enough, a brand new luxury resort will replace an old Yugoslav naval base located in the Bay of Kotor and transform it into a beautiful vocation place for tourists who can afford it.
The construction of the new resort, which will be a part of the famous One & Only resort chain, is an Azmont Investments project. The company which is subsidiary of SOCAR Energy Company in Azerbaijan started the building of the new five star hotel last Friday.
It is estimated that a total amount of 500 million euros is going to be spend not only for the hotel but for the whole project that will transform the Bay from an Army Base, to a paradise for vocation and relaxation.
It is going to be the first ever resοrt of One & Only in the whole Europe. The complex will accommodate not only the hotel with more than 140 luxury rooms but also other residences and villas, spa, a conference center, a wellness resort, two sandy beaches and a marina for 250 megayachts. The manufacturing company stated that the resort is going to open partial for visitors and the marina will be ready for the first crafts by next summer.
It is expected that the project not only will help the upgrading of the region and bring financial benefit to the locals, but will also provide almost 3000 new working positions throughout the construction phase. Although this isn’t the first Army Base in Montenegro transformed to an appealing resort. Back in 2009 the naval shipyard Arsenal in Tivat, was converted in a beautiful marina.
