According to Anton Kliman, the Minister of tourism of Croatia, this year the Mediterranean country is expecting half a million tourists more than 2015 and half a billion more kuna in profit!

Despite the fact that Country is waiting more tourists and profits, the country reduced by 30% its advertising and promotional activities. This is not worrying for the tourism industry and even though the fewer tourists that the country had in Easter because it was very early, everyone stays very optimistic about the summer season.
Kliman said in Croatian National Television on March 27 that Pre-season has started and they were unlucky with the early Easter but the first indicators show that the country will have 4,5-6% increase, a better result that all other years with early Easter.
The Minister because of the latest terrorist attacks emphasized that Croatia is a very safe country. He said that the Minister of Interior of Croatia and all the security services are doing their best to keep the country and everyone secure. All the geo-political events that have happened recently have positive impact on the bookings. He also said that all the information that the Ministry of Tourism is receiving from foreign tour agencies and their Tourist Board offices abroad show very positive results and with last-minute booking, the thing will go better definitely.
